30+ Years Experience
The Journey to Love Math
My name is Dr. Natasha Khazanov, and my professional journey began more than three decades ago with a simple goal: to help people understand how the brain works and use that knowledge to build resilience, joy, and meaningful connection. Throughout my career as a clinical psychologist, I have worked with hundreds of individuals facing the complex challenges of modern relationships. This extensive experience led to the development of Love Math—a framework designed to crack the code of relational harmony. By focusing on evidence-based strategies, I help partners move beyond stressful conflicts toward a foundation of care, self-compassion, and mutual respect.
Approach & Philosophy

Neuroscientist Associate Professor at UCSF
As a clinical psychologist, neuropsychologist, and longtime UCSF faculty member, I bring a deep understanding of the brain, emotion regulation, trauma, and resilience to my work with couples. The brain is complex, but it doesn’t mean that only a neuroscientist can understand the brain. It is my mission to help more people understand how the brain works, and learn the tools to use their brains to live to their fullest potential.Â
